Detroit comes off a signature road win over the Bears last week and I don't think they can win back to back road games. Ike Taylor is quietly shutting down every elite WR that's thrown at him and we have all seen how this Lions offense struggles when they don't have Calvin Johnson having a huge game. Ike won't completely be able to slow down Megatron, but he should be able to keep him in check. Meanwhile the Steelers win games when they can runt he ball and the Lions are ranked 25th in run defense. They have been able to score into the 20's in each of their games against bad running defenses and I think that's enough to win.
The Steelers are not as bad as their record shows as they are allowing just 250 yards at home. Detroit is 8-20-1 ATS int heir last 29 November games for a reason.
I believe the 49ers win this game outright. They are coming off a loss and are 21-8 ATS in their last 29 games following a SU loss and they face a Saints team that just destroyed the Cowboys in the national spot light so clearly they are going to get an inflated line. Vegas knows they can reel in some extra bettors on this game on the Saints side and capitalize when the 49ers win the game.
First of all for the 49ers it's as simple as winning the rushing battle. They are 6-0 when they run for more yards than their opponent and 0-3 when they don't. I think this is a terrible match up for the Saints and the 49ers should be able to run on the Saints who are 32nd in run defense in yards per carry allowed while they are 22nd in rushing offense. SF is also 3rd in opposing QB rating and the Saints rely heavily on their passing game. The Saints have not faced too many stubborn teams like the 49ers who will grind out a game by running. I don't think they will be able to continue their success and the 49ers are a desperate team that can't fall any further behind the Seahawks and must stay ahead in the wild card chase. The 49ers will have success running the ball and that will mean Colin Kaepernick is having success too!
